Almost had one…

While I am in The Wii Hunt, I’m also quite often on Xbox Live.  Here is my gamercard for your online stalking enjoyment.   Give me a buzz if you see me online and think you got game…   FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!

So since it ‘tis the season, I have been told to come up with my list for Santa.  After thinking long and hard, I have decided on a Wii.  Now, these guys have been around for a little over a year now, but for some reason they are harder to find than hair on my dogs’ rump. 

This morning I was woken bright and early by said dogs needing to answer the call of nature, and I was forced to start my day.  After perusing through the Sunday ads, I noticed that both Playthings Are We and Greatest Purchase were advertising the Wii as in stock.   With Playthings Are We opening very shortly, I chocked upped a trip to the store as a lost cause.  This made Greatest Purchase (which opened in two hours) the only option for the day.

Now, I would like (not NEED!!!) a Wii.  This means my level of effort to obtaining one is pretty much limited to showing up fifteen minutes before the store opens.  So as I stepped into the already formed line, I counted myself as number 11 in the queue.   I figured this put me in pretty decent shape to pick up one of the advertised 18 minimum per store.  However, just as I started to feel good about my situation, a lady in the front part of the line either being nice, or gloating in her own personal victory (I know what it would be for me) told the few newcomers that tickets were handed out one hour prior to opening, and all the units have been spoken for.  Well s*it!  I guess my desire to do little to no work for obtaining a console was trumped by others willing to stand out in the elements (20* F + snow) for one plus hours. 

So it sounds like I will either need to change my wish list, or up my level of commitment.  Keep your eyes peeled for MrAwes0me!

So this is my cliché ‘Welcome to my new site’ blog entry. I have been toying with the idea of registering a domain, but never really knew what I would do with it. That is until a few friends registered domains over the weekend and created their own WordPress blog. After that, the purpose of creating my own site became abundantly clear: to one-up their efforts of cyberspace glory.

To pay homage to the ones who came before me, here are a few quick links to some of my friends personal sites.

• Diddy’s Domain – Main competition #1. I will own (or pwn if you will) his arse by the end of the week. YOU’RE GOING DOWN DIDDY!!!!!
• Jessie’s Space – Main competition #2. This may be a long, drawn out fight which will most likely end by a cheap shot from me, because that’s how I roll.
• d0rk.org – The mastermind behind the operation. His site has been around for years, so there is no way I can compete with his audience size. 8 visitors is just way too much to expect right off the bat.
• Cocamonkey.com – Two steps away from a full-blown alcoholic. That and he takes some pretty funny pictures of his baby holding beer.
• KateandRoss.com – I work with Ross, so he understands the trials and tribulations of working for The Man.

And that is all the friends I have who run their own websites. I really can’t think of anyone else who has their own site that I would call a friend. After all, a friend would not have a fictional character listed on his ‘top several pals’ list but not me. Dick.

Big thanks to d0rk for hosting this glorious site. If it wasn’t for him keeping me up all hours of the night freshman year in college playing Quake III, I may have actually earned that degree in chemical engineering and had no time to slack off at work creating websites. Thanks good buddy!!!
